Naturopathic Medicine
Naturopathic medicine is a form of care that holds you at the centre and takes into account your physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing. At the foundation, it involves supporting what we call pillars of health - the ways in which we move, eat, think, rest and connect. We see our long term and sustainable change come from shifts within these pillars. As we make these bigger lifestyle shifts, we have tools such as intentional supplementation, lab work, herbal medicine and acupuncture to manage symptoms and get you where you want to be. Offered by Dr. Madeleine Clark, Dr. Fiona Callender, and Dr. Amanda Flynn.
Fertility Circle of Care
Our integrated fertility support team brings together naturopathic medicine, acupuncture, and psychotherapy to support you through trying to conceive, fertility treatment, and pregnancy loss. With your consent, our practitioners coordinate care so you feel supported from every angle of your fertility journey.
Pelvic Floor Therapy
Pelvic floor therapy at Crafted Balance is offered by one of our Naturopathic Doctors. It is a treatment that can support many conditions of the pelvis including pain, urinary symptoms, digestive concerns, as well as changes that occur as we transition through different phases of life - including pregnancy, postpartum, athletic pursuits, and menopause. With a thorough assessment of your symptoms and a physical exam - when indicated - you will get a treatment plan that is tailored personally to you. Offered by Dr. Fiona Callender.
Perimenopause & HRT
Perimenopause can begin as early as your mid-30s, and the symptoms go well beyond hot flashes — fatigue, brain fog, mood changes, and disrupted sleep are just as common. Dr. Madeleine Clark, ND, MSCP offers evidence-based care across the full spectrum of options, from lifestyle to hormone therapy, so you can make an informed choice.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture at Crafted Balance is offered by our Registered Acupuncturist, or as part of naturopathic care. Acupuncturists in Ontario are trained in a range of Chinese Medicine modalities, such as cupping, gua sha, and moxibustion. Offered by Nicole Brown, R.Ac and Dr. Amanda Flynn, ND.
Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy is a form of talk therapy that can be helpful when navigating challenging thoughts, emotions, and behaviours throughout various stages of your life. Your therapist will focus on developing a collaborative relationship and a space for you to speak openly and without judgment. Using a client-centered approach, our therapists integrate modalities like cognitive-behavioural therapy, mindfulness, and solution-focused therapy, tailored to meet your specific needs and goals. Offered by Nicole Armstrong, Jennifer Truong, Cecilia Mayta, and Anita Basu.
Massage therapy
Massage therapy is the hands-on manipulation of the soft tissues of the body. This treatment specifically focuses on the muscles, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments and joints for the purpose of optimizing health. Our compassionate and caring registered massage therapists can tailor treatment to your individual health goals, including relaxation and therapeutic massage, as well as head, neck and scalp massage. Offered by Ben Hanlon, RMT and Cristina Ieraci, RMT.
Microneedling
Microneedling is a minimally invasive nonsurgical procedure. Tiny needles are used to create micro-injury to the skin to stimulate collagen synthesis. This is done with a Health Canada approved device that uses rapid and precise depth of very fine needle, tailored to your skin and goals. This also creates tiny channels in the skin, allowing us to infuse serums and active ingredients more efficiently. The result is improved skin texture and tone with less recovery time than lasers and peels. Offered by Nicole Brown, R.Ac.
Osteopathy
Osteopathy is a hands-on manual therapy that focuses on pain relief, mobility, movement, and whole-body function. Using principles of biomechanics, anatomy, posture, and nervous system regulation, osteopathic treatment helps identify and address the root cause of dysfunction rather than only treating symptoms. Treatment may include joint mobilization, soft tissue therapy, stretching, and movement-based rehabilitation to support recovery from back pain, neck pain, headaches, sports injuries, chronic tension, posture-related pain, and mobility restrictions. Offered by Yasmine Khalaj.
