Ben Hanlon, RMT

Benjamin is a Registered Massage Therapist and a proud graduate of the Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy. His journey to this work is rooted in a deep appreciation for the body’s strength and resilience—a perspective shaped by his Newfoundland roots and his lifelong passion as a creator and artist.

Much like his approach to creating, Ben’s treatment philosophy is both intuitive and intentional. He believes true wellness is about more than just addressing pain; it’s about helping people feel stronger, more connected, and empowered to return to the activities that bring them joy. Whether you’re an athlete in training, navigating the physical demands of a creative practice, or simply looking to move through daily life with more ease, Ben is passionate about meeting you where you are.

His hands-on style can be described as firm, meditative, and rhythmic. He favours a grounded, flowing pace that allows the body to deeply settle and receive the work, combining therapeutic pressure with a soothing, predictable rhythm to create a sense of safety and calm. To complement his hands-on work, Ben may also draw on his training in hydrotherapy, offering guidance on using heat and ice to support your body’s recovery between sessions.

As a member of the queer community and a trans man, Ben has a personal understanding of the importance of feeling safe, seen, and celebrated in your own body. He is deeply committed to creating an affirming and gender-inclusive space for all clients. He has a particular passion for supporting folks on their top-surgery journeys, offering knowledgeable and compassionate care that honours the unique healing process of this transformative experience.

Ben brings a warm, creative, and community-centred spirit to every session and looks forward to working with you to create a personalized treatment plan that supports your health, your goals, and your best self.
